Dear 2017,

In you I learnt so much about collisions.

We collide with people, just as in physics, it could be perfectly elastic and chemistries are had, some are lost.

In you I laughed, I grew, I cried, I saw life from a different lens.

I lost opportunities, and gained more in disguise.

I met amazing people, I strengthened bonds and appreciated friends more.

I could decide to highlight my struggles, but I am only happy about how much strength this has brewed.

With no regrets, all I feel is gratitude, cause you are one of my best so far. Through these collisions, I’ve learnt more about myself, others, the world, and my path as an individual. I’ve learnt collisions with the most resistance gives us the most lessons.

I see people as messages, and myself as a catalyst. I’ve learnt to not control or define, to be selfless.

I’m so happy for the woman I’ve become. Looking towards 2018 with so much optimism, I know something massive is about to happen. Like the smell of a new car, or a frangipani blossom, I sniff the freshness 2018 brings.
